Analagous     three or four colors that are next to/ adjacent to each other on the color wheel

 

Color    element of design, three properties hue, value and intensity

Hue name of color                             intensity – brightness of color

Complementary    two colors directly across from each other on the color wheel

Secondary    orange green purple    the colors that are made from primary

 

Shade    color + black

Value   lightness or darkness     usually by adding white or black

 

Warm Colors    red, orange,  yellow
