Scoreboards Donated to District
Our
Soccer scoreboard that has been with us for many years
finally saw its last soccer game. Fortunately, with the
help of our Swartz Creek Booster Club and our area
business sponsors, we were able to purchase a new
scoreboard. The total cost of the scoreboard including
installation was $9,700. The Boosters generously
donated $5,000 and the following business sponsors
generated $4,700: Graff Chevrolet Durand, Randy Wise –
Genesee Valley Auto Mall, Chili’s, Financial Plus and
the SHW Group. In addition our Girls Soccer team,
through their fundraising efforts, donated $1,000 for
the “Swartz Creek” sign that is located on the top of
our scoreboard.
The
Swartz Creek Softball program has been busy in their
fundraising efforts. Approximately seventy
student-athletes from our Softball program with the
assistance of the Athletic Boosters fund raised over
$16,000 for the purchase and installation of the new
softball scoreboard. The student athletes included
players from the high school along with the middle
school who performed a work-a-thon raising $7,875 of the
$16,000 needed for the scoreboard. The Athletic Boosters
generously provided the balance along with the Swartz
Creek Youth Softball program which donated $1000.
The
Swartz Creek District would like to thank everyone who
assisted in making this possible for our Soccer and
Softball programs. |
