Good Afternoon, 

I hope you are all enjoying your remaining days of summer. Below is a construction and start of the year update. Unfortunately, our construction projects will not be completed by next Tuesday. The parking lots, which are a significant portion of our safety efforts, are definitely not going to be ready. I am sorry for the delay. We will not be able to start school next week. Here are the bullet points on what you need to know for the start of school:

  • We will start school on Monday, August 29, 2022. 
  • It will be a 1/2 day of school in the afternoon. Please see the website for half-day schedules (under school hours).
  • We will work with the teachers to replace the three student days into the 22-23 District Calendar. We will send that updated calendar out to you in September.
  • All building events will proceed as usual. Individual buildings will contact you with any adjusted times and dates.
  • All athletic and extracurricular away events will be able to proceed as usual. Home stadium events may have adjusted parking plans.

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience! As you may know, supply chain issues and labor shortages have been challenging this year. There will be many “punch-list” items to take care of during the year. Our construction managers have assured us that we will return to clean, safe, and secure buildings, which is most important for our students and families. Please contact your local buildings for specific questions. We are still so excited about having a fantastic school year.
