Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

Program Information:
All grant funded pre-kindergarten classrooms are staffed by a certified teacher with an Early Childhood Education endorsement or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, an Associate Teacher with a CDA or Associates in Early Childhood Education, and a Student Support Specialist. The Genesee Intermediate School District supplies our GSRP sites with an Early Childhood Specialist. This program is free for children whose families qualify and are 4 years old by December 1st of that school year. Qualifying factors include income and risk factors.
When:
Monday-Thursday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Children are expected to attend all four (4) days every week and do not report to school on Friday
Program Length:
Program runs from October to June, following the Swartz Creek Community Schools Calendar for holidays.
Location(s):
Little Dragons Learning Center-Main Building has (6) GSRP classrooms
Gaines Elementary has (1) GSRP classroom
Start by applying online and selecting the location "Swartz Creek" and then choosing either "Little Dragons Learning Center" or "Gaines Elementary
After you submit your application, our Preschool Coordinator will reach out to your by phone or email to set up an appointment.

Birth Certificate
Updated Shot Record
Health Appraisal
Proof of income (1 month proof or tax return)
Proof of residency (2 forms)
Custody documentation or IEP (if applicable)
Nutrition Services:
Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided
*GSRP Before & After School Child Care: 6:00am - 8:30am & 3:30pm - 6:00pm is available at Little Dragons Learning Center-Main Building and Gaines Elementary (spots are limited)
