Week 4 = DONE and what a way to finish! 🔥

Our final challenge had students ski hopping back and forth over pool noodles, powering through the long jump, and racing back to tag their teammates in an all-out relay showdown. The fastest class took the win—and the energy was unmatched!

The Red Team came out on top AGAIN! 🏆

Shoutout to Ms. Huber, Mrs. Close, and Mrs. Patterson for an epic battle for gold, but in the end, Ms. Huber’s fourth graders claimed the victory! 💪

As the champions, Ms. Huber’s class earned the honor of picking a teacher for a dare… and they did NOT disappoint 😂 They chose Mrs. Wolford to do karaoke to a song of their choice while wearing a chicken costume! 🐔🎤

So proud of everyone’s effort, teamwork, and determination all four weeks. What a fun way to wrap up our weekly challenges! 🎉

🏅📚 Week 3 of March is Reading Month had us hitting the slopes at Elms with a bobsled-inspired challenge!

Students teamed up as pushers and riders, racing relay-style through a twisty course. It took teamwork, speed, and a whole lot of determination to make it to the finish! 🛷💨

A huge congratulations to Mrs. Wiles’ 3rd grade class for sliding their way to GOLD! 🥇👏

As our champions, they chose our principal, Ms. Manning, to take on a dodgeball showdown—3rd grade vs. the principal! 🏐 Let’s just say…third grade did NOT hold back 😄

We’re loving the excitement, teamwork, and school spirit each week brings. Stay tuned for more Olympic fun! 📖✨

🏅📚 Week 2 of March is Reading Month brought the competition to a whole new level at Elms!

This week’s Olympic challenge had teams of six students working together as throwers, catchers, and stackers. Their mission: toss balls into buckets and then race against the clock to build the tallest tower possible using those buckets! 🪣🎯

After an intense and exciting competition, a huge congratulations goes to Mrs. Patterson’s 5th grade class for taking home the GOLD! 🥇👏

As our champions, they selected 4th grade teacher Mrs. Lang to take on the Egg Explosion Challenge… 🥚💥 Let’s just say things got a little messy and a LOT of fun!

We love seeing our students working together, cheering each other on, and bringing the Olympic spirit to reading month. Stay tuned for more challenges ahead! 📖✨

🏅📚 March is Reading Month is off to an exciting start at Elms—and we’re going for GOLD with our Olympics theme!

Students and teachers have teamed up across grade levels to compete in a friendly reading challenge. Each week, teams aim for the highest percentage of students hitting their reading goals. The top teams earn their spot on the podium to battle it out for 🥇 gold, 🥈 silver, and 🥉 bronze! Our gold medal team competes against each other for the ultimate gold medal!

Here is a week one recap!

A big congratulations to Mrs. Wiles’ class for taking home the GOLD for week one! 🥇👏 As our gold medal champions, they earned the chance to choose a staff member from another team to complete a fun challenge—and they picked 5th grade teacher, Mr. West!

Mr. West bravely took on the “mystery three-course meal” challenge, featuring a mayo and butter salad, chocolate and mustard-covered broccoli, and a “moldy” cupcake from behind the fridge 🤢😄 His final (and much-deserved!) treat was a plate of delicious mini cupcakes! 🧁

We’re loving the energy, teamwork, and dedication to reading. Let the games continue! 📖✨
