Schedule Pickup & School Picture Days Are Coming! Swartz Creek High School and Middle School families—mark your calendars! 📍SCHS (High School) – August 14th • Grades 10–12: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM • Grade 9 & Make-up for 10–12: 4:00 PM–7:00 PM 📍Schedules will be available in PowerSchool after August 14th. 📍SCMS (Middle School) – August 19th • 7th & 8th Grade (A–L): 9:00 AM–12:00 PM • 7th & 8th Grade (M–Z): 1:00 PM–4:00 PM • 6th Grade (A–Z): 4:00 PM–6:00 PM 📍Schedules will be viewable in the parent portal on 8/19. Paper copies available during pickup or at the Welcome Back event. Need a retake or miss picture day? Make-up and retake dates are posted on the district website and the SCCS app under the Events tab for each school. Be sure to check your email in early August for more details. Back-to-School Information and Helpful Tips for Families Swartz Creek Community Schools will welcome students back for the 2025–2026 school year on Wednesday, August 20. Please note that the first day will be a half-day PM for all students. See dismissal times by building listed below. To help families prepare for a smooth start to the school year, here are a few helpful tips: 1. Ease Into a Routine: Start adjusting your child’s bedtime and wake-up time now. Getting into a consistent routine before school begins helps students feel more rested and ready to learn. 2. Practice Lunch Skills: If your student is in the younger grades, take time to practice opening lunch items such as snack bags, containers, and juice boxes. This helps build independence and confidence during lunch time. 3. Organize Supplies: General supply lists can be found on our district website. Teachers will also communicate classroom-specific needs. Having a few basic items packed and ready in your child’s backpack is a great starting point. 4. Talk About the School Day: Discussing what to expect on a typical school day can ease first-day jitters and help your child feel more confident heading into the new year. 5. Label All Belongings: Make sure your child’s backpack, lunchbox, water bottle, and outerwear are clearly labeled. This increases the chances of lost items making their way back home. Early 5s and Kindergarten Families: You will receive information in the mail regarding a one-hour welcome meeting on the first day of school.
